WHAT?

The testing of  Portable Appliances for operational safety and the safety of those using them.  If your working environment has any electrical appliances with a plug attached, then these are portable appliances.

WHY?

It is a requirement of the Electricity At Work Regulations Act (1989) for employers to have all Portable Appliances Inspected and Tested

WHEN?

The Act states that appliances should be tested at regular intervals - we can advise you on the frequency suggested.
